Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi Concludes Record-Breaking 2026 Residency at Amnesia Ibiza

Metamorfosi has officially brought its record-breaking 2026 season at Amnesia Ibiza to a close following another much-talked-about summer residency. Spearheaded by acclaimed electronic music artist Joseph Capriati, the weekly programme returned to the legendary Ibizan super-club for a comprehensive run that spanned established names, emerging talent, and the very best sounds across the house and techno spectrum.

Running every Tuesday from June 30th through September 29th, the residency formed a cornerstone of Amnesia Ibiza’s landmark 50th anniversary year. The milestone season also marked a deeply meaningful homecoming for Capriati, serving as a triumphant return to the very club where his illustrious international career first developed. Throughout the summer months, Metamorfosi cemented its reputation as one of the White Isle’s premier underground gatherings, curating lineups that balanced global heavyweights with forward-thinking selectors.

The expansive weekly rosters featured a carefully curated mix of electronic music royalty and contemporary innovators. Across the season, Metamorfosi presented performances from electronic music luminaries including Richie Hawtin, Jamie Jones, Chris Stassy, Seth Troxler, Mau P, Josh Baker, Max Dean, and Ben Klock. They were joined by an equally impressive roster of heavy-hitting talent, featuring Maceo Plex, WhoMadeWho, Damian Lazarus, Freddy K, Cloonee, Dubfire, Anfisa Letyago, Traumer, Fatima Hajji, and Wade.

The season culminated in a heavily anticipated and completely sold-out closing night on September 29th. The final chapter of the summer brought thousands of dedicated music lovers to the club for an unforgettable finale, highlighted by an extended back-to-back performance featuring Capriati, Jamie Jones, and Chris Stassy. The trio brought their absolute A-game to the booth, delivering a masterclass in modern club programming that seamlessly blended red-hot unreleased IDs, beloved summer classics, and plenty of slick, driving grooves in between. Rather than ending when the lights came up at Amnesia, the celebrations continued with a massive after-party at the nearby 528 venue, appropriately titled "THE DAY AFTER."

While the main Terrace played host to these high-profile collaborative sets and diverse house and techno headliners, Metamorfosi also placed a distinct and deliberate emphasis on the venue’s legendary Club Room. Throughout the summer, the space offered a dedicated, uncompromising techno-focused programme. This raw and immersive room provided a vital platform for a new generation of artists who are actively shaping the current underground techno landscape, sitting comfortably alongside established figures from the genre.

Artists such as Alarico, Serafina, Adiel, and Quest featured prominently in the Club Room’s schedule, showcasing the cutting edge of contemporary electronic music. This dual-room format was central to Metamorfosi’s overarching musical philosophy for the season. By utilizing both the Terrace and the Club Room, the residency offered two different yet complementary musical directions under one roof. The Club Room, in particular, provided a focused platform for a more underground and techno-led sound, reinforcing the residency’s broader commitment to musical depth, artistic integrity, and contemporary club culture.

With the final records played and the closing celebrations now complete, Metamorfosi’s 2026 chapter at Amnesia has officially come to an end. It marks the conclusion of an unforgettable summer that saw Joseph Capriati once again host some of the most unmissable weekly sessions for underground music lovers anywhere on the island, further cementing both his legacy at Amnesia and the enduring cultural impact of the Metamorfosi brand.
