Metamorfosi has officially brought its record-breaking 2026 season at Amnesia Ibiza to a triumphant close. Following another much-talked-about summer residency, the conceptual party saw techno heavyweight Joseph Capriati return in style to the legendary Ibicencan superclub. Throughout the summer, the residency delivered a meticulously curated programme that successfully bridged the gap between established global icons, pioneering underground figures, and the very best sounds spanning the broader house and techno spectrum.
Running every Tuesday from 30th June through to 29th September, the high-profile residency held profound significance for both the artist and the venue. The weekly events formed an integral part of Amnesia Ibiza’s landmark 50th-anniversary year celebrations, marking a special milestone for the historic club. Furthermore, the residency served as a celebratory homecoming for Capriati, unfolding at the very venue where the foundational roots of his internationally celebrated career were first developed and nurtured.
Across the expansive thirteen-week season, Metamorfosi transformed the iconic white Isle venue into a vibrant epicentre for contemporary electronic music, presenting a dazzling roster of heavyweight talent. The Terrace played host to an enviable array of world-class selectors, welcoming iconic figures such as Richie Hawtin, Jamie Jones, Chris Stassy, Seth Troxler, and Ben Klock. They were joined by a powerhouse selection of contemporary favourites and dynamic performers, including Mau P, Josh Baker, Max Dean, Maceo Plex, WhoMadeWho, Damian Lazarus, Freddy K, Cloonee, Dubfire, Anfisa Letyago, Traumer, Fatima Hajji, and Wade. The monumental season culminated in a fiercely anticipated, sold-out closing night on 29th September. Bringing the summer chapter to an unforgettable climax, the final session featured an exclusive back-to-back-to-back extravaganza on the Terrace uniting Joseph Capriati, Jamie Jones, and Chris Stassy. The trio brought their absolute A-game to the booth, delivering a masterclass in dynamic DJing that effortlessly combined red-hot unreleased IDs, nostalgic summer anthems, and plenty of slick, hypnotic grooves in between. The electric energy generated during those final hours captured the true essence of Ibiza’s magical closing party spirit, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to secure a ticket.
Refusing to let the momentum fade with the final track at Amnesia, the celebrations spilled over into the following day. Die-hard fans and revellers continued the revelry with a special after-party hosted at 528, aptly titled “THE DAY AFTER,” ensuring that the collective energy of the Metamorfosi community reverberated well beyond the club’s walls.
While the Terrace captured headlines with its star-studded lineups, Metamorfosi placed an equally passionate and deliberate emphasis on the Club Room. Throughout the summer months, this second space operated a dedicated, uncompromising techno-focused programme that became a sanctuary for purists. The curation here leaned heavily into the cutting edge of the genre, providing a vital platform for a fresh generation of artists who are actively shaping the current underground techno landscape.
Among those making waves in the Club Room were standout performances from Alarico, Serafina, Adiel, and Quest. Their contributions stood shoulder-to-shoulder with appearances from more established figures of the genre, ensuring that the room maintained a gritty, authentic, and forward-thinking musical identity week after week.
This dual-room format remained central to Metamorfosi’s overarching artistic approach to the 2026 season. By programming the Terrace and the Club Room with distinctly different yet complementary musical directions, the residency offered attendees a multi-dimensional clubbing experience.
