Aman’s upcoming luxury cruise ship has yet to officially set sail, but demand for its carefully curated voyages is already proving exceptionally strong.
Aman at Sea, the ultra-luxury yachting venture spearheaded by hospitality behemoth Aman Resorts, has officially announced the inaugural Caribbean itineraries for the Amangati. Measuring an impressive 600 feet in length, the custom-built vessel will bring Aman’s renowned philosophy of peaceful, minimalist sanctuary to the open water, with its maiden Caribbean season scheduled to run from the late autumn of 2027 through the early spring of 2028.
Before making its way across the Atlantic, the Amangati is scheduled to officially hit the water in May 2027. Its highly anticipated maiden season will initially kick off in the Mediterranean, offering travelers a myriad of curated voyages ranging between five and eight nights. These early spring and summer Mediterranean sailings will showcase the brand’s signature approach to destination immersion, allowing guests to experience historic European harbors and sun-drenched coastlines before the ship transitions to its autumn positioning route. From the Mediterranean, the grand liner will cruise southwest across the Atlantic Ocean, eventually making landfall in Saint John’s, Antigua, which will serve as the operational homeport and gateway from which the comprehensive Caribbean season will unfold.

Following its transatlantic crossing, the Amangati will embark on an intensive series of 19 distinct cruises between November 21, 2027, and March 20, 2028. These voyages are designed to trace the storied harbors and pristine archipelagos of the Antilles, while simultaneously venturing into brand-new waters for the ultra-luxury brand, including maiden calls in the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and the Grenadines. Much like its Mediterranean debut, all Caribbean sailings will range strictly between five and eight nights, ensuring a relaxed yet deeply engaging pace of travel that avoids the rushed schedules typical of conventional commercial cruising.
The overarching schedule for the yacht’s inaugural autumn season is structured around three distinct regional movements: the Leeward Islands, the Windward Islands, and the Dutch Caribbean. These carefully planned routes will spotlight a diverse spectrum of tropical environments and local ecosystems. Passengers will have the opportunity to take in everything from the dramatic, soaring rainforests surrounding the Pitons in Saint Lucia to the crystal-clear turquoise waters of Anguilla, as well as the secluded, uninhabited shores of the Tobago Cays located deep within the Grenadines.
For travelers looking to spend the holidays at sea, select sailings will operate continuously throughout the festive year-end season. Among these special holiday itineraries is a standout seven-night voyage traveling from Bridgetown, Barbados, to Saint John’s, Antigua. This particular sailing is designed to offer passengers an extraordinarily intimate New Year’s celebration hosted at a private resort located on the island of Nevis, blending onboard festivities with exclusive land-based luxury experiences.
As the calendar turns toward the new year, the winter season will officially commence on January 2, 2028, running through March 20. This portion of the deployment introduces a new westward reach into the Greater Antilles, marking the first time Aman at Sea will drop anchor in destinations such as the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and the Grenadines. True to the brand’s ethos, these arrivals will be executed at a gentle, unhurried pace. Among the prominent highlights of the winter itineraries are excursions to the verdant jungle landscapes at Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic, the lush volcanic slopes rising steeply above Saint-Pierre in Martinique, and the vibrant, protected coral gardens located just off the coast of Kralendijk in Bonaire.

Every adventure offered aboard the Amangati includes a diverse range of built-in cultural experiences designed to connect guests deeply with the destinations they visit. However, acknowledging the ultra-luxury clientele’s desire for personalization, guests also have the flexibility to work directly with an onboard concierge to plan completely bespoke, private activities ashore. To ensure that daily life onboard and ashore runs with absolute seamlessness, every passenger will be assigned a dedicated suite host. Furthermore, the logistical challenge of moving guests from deck to shore has been meticulously engineered: comings and goings will be an effortless breeze thanks to two onboard helipads and a fleet of six luxury tenders ready to ferry travelers at a moment’s notice.
As for the vessel itself, the Amangati is presently under active construction at the esteemed T. Mariotti shipyard located in Genoa, Italy. When completed, the magnificent nine-deck superyacht will feature just 47 expansive suites, ensuring an exceptionally high crew-to-guest ratio and an intimate, uncrowded atmosphere. These accommodations are designed to be remarkably generous in scale, ranging in size from 731 square feet up to a staggering 3,811 square feet.
Throughout the interior spaces, Aman’s signature quiet elegance will be immediately evident. The design embraces refined, minimalist decor that draws direct architectural and aesthetic inspiration from traditional Japanese ryokans, emphasizing natural materials, soothing color palettes, and tranquil spaces. Every single suite on board will showcase sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows alongside large private balconies, resulting in an airy, luminous feel that connects guests continuously with the surrounding sea and sky.
To complement the residential-style suites, the ship will be outfitted with a comprehensive array of world-class, hotel-like amenities. Culinary needs will be met by four distinct international restaurants offering diverse gastronomic concepts. Additional public spaces include an atmospheric jazz club for evening entertainment, a private cinema for film screenings, a signature Aman Spa dedicated to holistic wellness, a private beach club for shoreline lounging, and a massive aft swimming pool designed to serve as the social heart of the vessel’s outdoor decks.

With construction progressing steadily in Italy and itineraries filling up fast well in advance of its maiden voyage, Aman’s entry into the ultra-luxury cruise sector is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched maritime launches of the decade.
