HÀ NỘI — Alphanam Group on Monday officially launched The Residences at InterContinental Sapa Resort in the picturesque Mường Hoa Valley of Lào Cai Province, marking a significant milestone as the introduction of the very first InterContinental branded residences in northern Việt Nam.

The official launch event, held under the evocative theme ‘Live fully elevated,’ forms an integral part of the expansive 83-hectare Alphora Mường Hoa International Resort Complex, a master-planned destination developed by Alphanam Group. Designed to blend luxury hospitality with natural splendor, the exclusive project comprises 79 meticulously crafted branded villas situated alongside the world-class InterContinental Sapa Resort.

Nestled dramatically between the majestic Hoàng Liên Sơn mountain range and Hàm Rồng Mountain, the Mường Hoa Valley is globally renowned for its breathtaking cascading terraced rice fields, distinctive high-altitude mountain landscapes, and the vibrant cultural heritage of local ethnic minority communities. This setting provides an awe-inspiring backdrop for what is poised to become one of Southeast Asia’s most coveted alpine residential communities.

Bryan Chan, vice president of Development for South East Asia and Korea at IHG Hotels & Resorts, emphasized that the new development builds firmly upon the hospitality group’s existing, successful partnership with Alphanam, which already encompasses flagship properties under the InterContinental and Holiday Inn Resort brands.

Expressing enthusiasm for the venture, Chan noted that working alongside Alphanam to bring this project to fruition is a welcome extension of their enduring collaboration. He highlighted that this landmark development successfully bridges the global strength, prestige, and legendary service standards of the InterContinental brand with the distinctive character and breathtaking natural beauty of the Mường Hoa Valley. Together, these elements combine to forge an exceptional branded residential offering situated within one of Việt Nam’s most remarkable and culturally rich destinations.

Architecturally, the residences have been thoughtfully designed to respond sensitively to the valley’s complex natural topography. Each of the 79 villas is strategically positioned according to its precise elevation and orientation to optimize sweeping panoramic vistas while minimizing any adverse visual impact on the surrounding mountainous landscape. Stepped architectural forms, expansive floor-to-ceiling glass glazing, and fluid open living spaces are integrated throughout the design to dissolve the boundaries between the lavish interiors and the dramatic outdoor environment.

To achieve world-class design standards, Alphanam Group enlisted a formidable team of international consultants for the project. The collaborative effort features renowned firms including DP Architects, Avalon, SCSY, and P Landscape, all working in concert to ensure the architecture and master planning honor the unique context of the site.

Homeowners at The Residences at InterContinental Sapa Resort will enjoy privileged access to an extensive array of high-end facilities and tailored services available at the adjoining InterContinental Sapa Resort. These amenities include dedicated concierge assistance, fine-dining restaurants, an indulgent spa, swimming pools, personalized butler services, and holistic wellness experiences, which are available subject to additional charges. Furthermore, owners will be eligible to participate in IHG One Rewards benefits, granting them exclusive privileges subject to the standard program terms and conditions.

Addressing the delicate balance between high-end real estate development and ecological preservation, Nguyễn Ngọc Mỹ, vice chairwoman of Alphanam Group, underscored that undertaking a project within such a cherished heritage landscape requires the absolute highest level of professional respect and operational discipline.

Mỹ explained that the development team carefully nurtures every single inch of the land, actively plants and cultivates every new seedling, and approaches every stage of the development lifecycle with rigorous research, precise measurement, and deep consideration. She further noted that the entire project has been intentionally designed and executed to meet EDGE standards, a globally recognized green-building certification system that focuses meticulously on energy efficiency, water conservation, and significant carbon reduction.

Upon its ultimate completion, The Residences at InterContinental Sapa Resort is projected to achieve a remarkable distinction within the global hospitality industry, standing as the highest-altitude InterContinental-branded residential villa development in the entire global InterContinental Hotels & Resorts portfolio.

The official launch of the project is expected to provide a powerful catalyst for the ongoing development of the Mường Hoa Valley as an internationally recognized luxury tourism and lifestyle destination. At the same time, the project vividly reflects Alphanam Group’s overarching corporate strategy of introducing elite international hospitality brands to culturally significant destinations across Việt Nam.
